The only man she wants is the one who’ll never forgive her

Falling in love with her boss’s handsome millionaire neighbor was easy for young Emma Copeland. Despite the vast differences between them, and a past that’s left Connor Sinclair reclusive and wary, Emma gambles her heart on a desire that rocks them both. But there’s something Connor doesn’t know: Emma is responsible for an accident that changed his life forever.

Connor lives by rules intended to protect both him and his vast wealth. Emma’s innocence is the only thing that’s ever broken through his cold reserve, but now his trust is shattered. By the time he realizes how much he stands to lose, it might take a miracle to win her back. But it’s a challenge he’ll gladly face for the woman and the family he needs more than his next breath…

Readers Comments..” I will say that I was a bit nervous to read a book dealing with a jerk hero, since those aren’t always done well but ironically he was done very well in this one. Even though in the first third of the story he is a bit of an ass we also see the way that he has some depths to him that you don’t quite see at first. We have a lake shore setting for most of the story, which just worked so well for this story.”

“As soon as I got into the first chapter I kept saying to myself–this sounds just like an old title of hers that I have read previously. The characters had different names, but the story was so similar I was disappointed. I stuck with the book, and there were a lot more twists and turns added that it ended up being a very different tale.

Still it made me wonder, so I re-read Bound by a Promise. That book was written in 1979, and certainly has the feeling of the 70’s. Like there weren’t cell phones or personal computers, but the other similarities were striking. In Undaunted there were more expanded roles and somehow because there is a Comanche Wells/Jacobsville connection, it has been rebranded as a Long, Tall Texan story.”
