Bellamy Lyston Price was only 12 years old when her older sister Susan was killed on a stormy Memorial Day.

Bellamy’s fear of storms is a legacy of the tornado that destroyed the crime scene as well as her memory of one vital fact that still eludes her…

Now, 18 years later, Bellamy has written a novel based on Susan’s murder. It’s her first book, and it’s an instant sensation. But because the novel is based on the most traumatic event of her life, she’s published it under a pseudonym to protect herself and her family. But when a sleazy reporter for a tabloid newspaper discovers that the book is based on a real crime, Bellamy’s identity—and dark family secrets—are exposed.

Suddenly, she finds herself embroiled in a personal conflict and at the mercy of a killer.

Resders comment on this book and Sandra Brown…”I’ve got it, I’ve got it; something I haven’t said in quite so many words—her (Sandra Brown’s) men are utter perfection. Not in an obvious cardboard cutout kind of way, but more of a brooding bad boy with a jaded outlook on life that just so happens to have a loyal heart under all that cockiness. Aside from the sexual tension running rampant throughout her storylines, I appreciate Sandra Brown’s penchant for obscuring the truth. So kudos to Ms. Brown for not only duping me again, but for making me fall for another cast of characters.”

In this breathless romantic thriller from bestseller Brown, Bellamy Price hopes that her debut novel, the pseudonymous Low Pressure, will be therapeutic. Instead, Low Pressure reopens many old … Among those most upset is pilot Denton Carter, Susan’s one-time boyfriend and a prime suspect until his alibi proved convincing. Another is Ray Strickland, the brother of the man convicted of the crime and later killed in prison. When both Bellamy and Denton are targeted in attacks, digging further into Susan’s murder becomes imperative for both. …. Sexual tension fueled by mistrust between brash Denton and shy Bellamy smolders and sparks in teasing fashion throughout.

Personal note… Covid has me rereading books. I read this when it was first published (2012) but didn’t remember much except for the nasty daughter who was murdered, the boyfriend who became a pilot and the person that really committed the deed, but nothing about the heroine. It is a goodread and I’m glad I re-read it.
