Totally Folked: Good Folk: Modern Folktales, Book 1
A passionate one-night-stand years ago leads to an unlikely friendship….
Jackson James follows lots of rules. He has to. He’s a sheriff’s deputy. But strict adherence to the law during daylight has been enjoyably balanced by his own rakish regulations at night. Jackson, usually happy to protect and to serve (and serve, and serve), starts questioning his rules when wayward evenings begin to feel more like being waylaid rather than getting laid. The once laissez faire sheriff deputy can’t help but long for something real.
Movie star Raquel Ezra follows only one rule: Always leave them wanting more. Strict adherence to this single rule has served her well. Studio execs, reporters, audiences, fans, lovers – no one can get enough of the bombshell. But when “generous offers” start to feel like excessive demands, years of always leaving has the habitually elusive movie star longing for something lasting.
Seeking an escape, Raquel abruptly returns to the small hamlet of Green Valley, Tennessee, and her path crosses with the delectable deputy she spent one unforgettable night with years ago. However, when scandal and intrigue soon follow, Raquel and Jackson must decide which is more important: maintaining their rules? Or, at long last, finding something real?
Folk Around and Find Out: Good Folk: Modern Folktales, Book 2
He needs to get her out of his system. Just once….
Hank Weller doesn’t help people. He leaves that do-gooder nonsense to his best friend, Beau Winston. Hank does what he wants, when he wants, with whomever he wants—and Hank does not want to hire Charlotte Mitchell to be an exotic dancer at his club, The Pink Pony. Sure, he can’t help noticing the dips and curves of her, how shrewd, smart, and funny she is, the fire in her hazel eyes. He’s always noticed. She’d probably draw a crowd and entice the regulars. But after Charlotte’s messy, public divorce made Hank’s club out to be the culprit—and made her the single mother of four kids—he doesn’t need or want any additional bad press courtesy of Charlotte Mitchell. Or the distraction. Unfortunately for him, the town’s prettiest charity case doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of the words nope, no, and never.
Charlotte Mitchell doesn’t much like Hank Weller. Once upon a time, she used to. Years ago, she liked him a whole heck of a lot despite other folks in town labeling him as “eccentric” and “nonconformist”, which were polite Southern alternatives to “filthy rich” and “self-centered douchebag”. Her opinion of him changed dramatically after he volunteered to be her date to junior prom and then promptly stood her up. They haven’t so much as acknowledged each other in more than a decade. But a sudden family emergency means Charlotte needs access to Hank’s club ASAP. Unfortunately for her, the narcissistic fancy-pants doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of the words help, generosity, and compassion.
But he’s about to find himself schooled. Charlotte is going to teach Hank a lesson once and for all about basic human decency, whether he likes it or not.
Spoiler alert…he likes it.
All Folked Up: Good Folk: Modern Folktales, Book 3
Isaac has never been what he seems.
Rumor has it that gruff, brooding, and solitary man-of-mystery Isaac Sylvester is back in town, and the only thing folks in Green Valley know for certain is that this prodigal son’s motives are as elusive as he is. He’s been spotted loitering near the old Townsen farm, hanging around the Hill’s homestead, and glaring menacingly from the edges of The Donner Lodge’s parking lot. What this hometown-hero-turned-criminal wants, no one knows. Nor can they stop talking about it.
Hannah’s last night as an exotic dancer might just be her most memorable. Hannah Townsen has often been a subject of local gossip. Folks shook their heads when Hannah’s daddy ran out on her momma; folks blessed her heart after Hannah’s momma had that tragic accident; and folks really talked up a tizzy when Hannah became an exotic dancer in order to pay off her parents’ debt and put food on the table. But now, ten years after being dubbed as a hometown-stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold, Hannah has seemingly—and finally—fallen off the gossip mill’s radar.
That is, until the enigmatic Isaac Sylvester shows up at Hannah’s retirement party wanting so much more than a private dance. . .
All Folked Up’ is the third book in the Good Folk series and is a full-length, small town, contemporary romantic comedy novel.
